How to reach the place
If you're coming by plane, we're a 10-minute (cheap!) cab ride from LaGuardia Airport. If you're driving, we don't have off-street parking but it's never hard to find a free parking spot within a couple of blocks (not the case in many NYC neighborhoods). The Ditmars stop on the N/W subway line is a 7-minute walk and the Q100 and Q69 buses provide easy access to Queensboro Plaza as well.
Essentials Nearby
Our house is on an extremely peaceful street, but once you round the corner at the end of the block you're in a bustling section of Astoria, with everything you need close at hand. It's a 7-minute walk to the Ditmars N/W train stop, which gets you into Manhattan in 15-20 minutes. And it's a short walk to a 24-hour pharmacy, grocery stores, and laundromat. The neighborhood is known for great restaurants and bars, and dozens are within walking distance.
